AN ACT to require the 2018 fall primary be held on Thursday, September 13, 2018 and the political calendar be adjusted accordingly; and providing for the repeal of such provisions upon expiration thereof
THE PEOPLE OF THE STATE OF NEW YORK, REPRESENTED IN SENATE AND ASSEMBLY, DO ENACT AS FOLLOWS:
Section 1. Notwithstanding the provisions of paragraph (a) of subdivision 1 of section 8-100 of the election law, the 2018 fall primary shall be held on Thursday, September 13, 2018, and the political calendar shall be adjusted accordingly.
S 2. This act shall take effect immediately and shall expire on December 31, 2018 when upon such date the provisions of this act shall be deemed repealed.
This now goes to Governor Andrew Cuomo to sign into law for 2018.
