Assembly Candidate John Zaccaro Jr. the Chief of Staff to Councilman Rafael Salamanca who says he has thirteen years of experience in Bronx politics including a short stint as a Democratic District Leader was caught filming 34th State Senate Candidate Samantha Zherka's rear inside of the Morris Park Poll Site.
The incident occured Tuesday afternoon when 34th State Senate candidate Samantha Zherka went outside the Morris Park Poll Site on Bronxdale Avenue to smoke a cigarette. She then went back inside the poll site to use the bathroom, only to be followed by Assembly candidate John Zaccaro who began filming the rear of 34th State Senate candidate Samantha Zherka as she went to the bathroom, inside the Morris Park poll site. We asked both poll site coordinators for comments about the incident, both who said to talk to the Bronx Board of Elections who has not returned my calls yet. We even tried to get a comment from the Bronx Democratic Party Leader, but there was no one in the Party Headquarters when we tried.
34th State Senate candidate Samantha Zherka said she only went back in to use the bathroom and did not know 'That Pervert' as she described what Assembly candidate John Zaccaro had done, adding that she thought only the media could take film inside a poll site.
Witnesses to the event upon requesting to remain unnamed said Zaccaro said she was electioneering inside the poll site, but when she went to use the bathroom he, Zaccaro was so embarrassed that he ran out of the poll site.
Later in the day at a halloween giveaway where his wife and three children were Assembly candidate John Zaccaro stares towards 34th State Senate candidate Samantha Zherka and his opponent Phyllis 'Tiz' Nastasio who were sitting outside a cafe on the next block.
