CRYPTO CURRENCY & NEW YORK CITY'S FUTURE
The Bronx Chamber of Commerce joined Tusk Strategies, Crains New York, and NYC business leaders for a lively discussion on the future of alternative currency and shaping New York City to become the world's crypto capital.

At Crain’s Cryptocurrency breakfast the conversation explored the city's path to becoming the world's crypto capital. The Bronx Chamber team caught up with Adrienne Harris, Superintendent for the New York State Department of Financial Services, and touched on what the new administration means for the expansion of crypto in New York and how the city and state may promote a new crypto economy. We also discussed the role private market investors play in the success of crypto startups and the release of a new report by the Center for Urban Future which noted crypto firms in New York City quadrupled between 2016 and 2021.
LEGISLATION, REGULATIONS, & LABOR DATA
The NYC Redistricting Commission released draft maps of proposed changes to New York City Council district lines. It is vitally important that we pay attention to these proposed changes and provide feedback. The Bronx and New York City need you to be engaged in drawing the lines for our government's City Council district maps.

Transparency Pricing for Live Events
New York Gov. Kathy Hochul signed a bill last month that will demand greater transparency from establishments that sell tickets for live events.
