It was dancing until it got dark, at Saturday's Committee of 100 Democrats 11th Annual Free Community Barbecue. As you will see in the photos below that about 200 people were in attendance at any given time during the all day long event. Several bands played, and there was no shortage of food given out. Even Committee of 100 Democrats critic Mr. Anthony Rivieccio wanted one of this years Committee of 100 Democrats T-shirts. State Senator Jeff Klein dropped by as he has done every year to say hello, and say that without clubs like the Committee of 100 Democrats and Chairman Ricky Martinez our election process is better off. Chairman Martinez announced that he has selected Mr. John Perez to be the Executive Director of the Committee of 100 Democrats, and to increase the visibility of the Committee of 100 Democrats Bronx wide. Mr. Perez thanked Chairman Martinez for the appointment as Executive Director, and already has begun his task to make the Committee of 100 Democrats a Bronx wide club.

While there were many many events going on Senator Klein stopped by as he has done for the past 10 years for the Committee events. Thanks also go out to City Comptroller Scott Stringer's Bronx Borough Director Jason Laidley, and Public Advocate Letitia James Special Assistant and Outreach coordinator Timothy Tapia who were also in attendance.
