Please join me, the NYC Department of Housing Preservation Development (HPD), Neighborhood Development Corp., and other city agencies for a Homeowner Resource Fair on Wednesday, January 22nd, at 6pm. 

 

This event will be a terrific opportunity to learn about foreclosures, permits, managing home expenditures, tax abatement and more.

CELEBRATING MLK DAY WITH

UNION GROVE CHURCH

As our country paused to commemorate Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr., I was proud to join my Union Grove Missionary Baptist Church friends to celebrate faith and service. 

A yearly reminder of the progress we have made to break down inequalities, this day also reminds me of the work yet to be done and how, as an elected official, I can emulate Dr. King’s example and be of better service to God and to my community.

“Once again, the South Bronx is carrying the weight for homelessness in the city of New York,” Salamanca Jr. told the Bronx Times. “It’s a never-ending saga.”

While the city emphasizes the need for each district to contribute equally, Salamanca Jr. argued, “The South Bronx is carrying the burden of the city on its back. Where is the investment in our communities other than affordable housing units?”
