STATEMENT FROM BOROUGH PRESIDENT DIAZ
RE: LPC Vote on Kingsbridge Armory
“I
am thrilled that the City’s Landmarks Preservation Commission yesterday
pushed the development of the Kingsbridge Armory another step forward,
issuing a ‘binding report’ that will allow the construction of the
Kingsbridge National Ice Center to occur in this landmarked structure.
“As
I have said numerous times, this project is going to have a tremendous
positive impact on not just the Northwest Bronx but the entire borough,
and I reiterate my support for the Kingsbridge National Ice Center,”
said Bronx Borough President Ruben Diaz Jr.
Borough
President Diaz’s complete ULURP recommendations on the project, which
were released yesterday, can be read at the following link: http://on.nyc.gov/18njPny.
