Register to Vote

TODAY is the deadline to register to vote before the June primary election. Offices like Governor and State Assembly are on the ballot on June 28. Register to vote!

If you’re already registered:   You can check your voter registration to make sure your name, address, and party affiliation are up to date. Check your voter registration.   If you've recently moved, the deadline to update your address on your voter registration is June 8. Update your voter registration.

How to Vote in the Upcoming Elections

The June Primary is scheduled for June 28, 2022 with Early Voting from June 18th to June 26th and will include elections for these offices:  Governor Lieutenant Governor State Assembly Judges Party Positions The August Primary is scheduled for August 23, 2022 with Early Voting from August 13th to August 21st and will include elections for these offices: U.S. House of Representatives State Senate There are three ways to vote in the upcoming June Primary Election: Election Day is Tuesday, June 28, 2022. New Absentee Ballot Law

Due to a recent change in the law, New York State voters are no longer permitted to cast a ballot on a voting machine if they have requested to vote by Absentee Ballot.   Voters who have requested to vote by Absentee Ballot can still vote in-person using an Affidavit ballot at early voting or election day.   The affidavit ballot will be kept separate until the election is completed. Election officials will verify whether the voter’s absentee ballot has been received. If the voter’s absentee ballot has been received, the affidavit ballot will not be counted. If the voter’s absentee ballot has not been received, the affidavit ballot will be counted.
