RECORD SETTING EVENT
Over 600 people gathered at Marina Del Rey to celebrate the 2023 Bronx Chamber of Commerce Gala - The Bronx is Building! During the evening guests celebrated honorees MBD Housing, Madeline Marquez of Ponce Bank, Galaxy Contracting Corporation, and Sentry Management Solutions.

The evening raised significant funding supporting Bronx Chamber operations and support for Bronx businesses.

We'd like to give a special acknowledgement to the Bronx Chamber Board of Directors, the 2023 Gala Host Committee, and especially thank our Board Chair, Anthony Mormile, and John Bonizio and Barbara Selesky for co-chairing this year's event. This commitment can not be accomplished without an excellent team - so I would personally like to thank the Bronx Chamber staff, and our sponsors and partners in the work including: United Public Adjusters & Appraisers, Bally's Casino, D&J Ambulette / City Care, DoorDash, Simone Development Companies, Bank of America, Affinity by Molina, Amazon, BX EDC, Great Performances, Lemle & Wolff Companies, Monroe College, Montefiore, Orange Bank and Trust, Ritecheck Cashing, RXR, Sandra Erickson Real Estate, the Woodlawn Cemetery & Conservancy, and Bronx Times Reporter.

New York State Liquor Authority Temporary License Extension

In the Authority’s ongoing effort to assist applicants and reduce the number of applications that must be filed, the Authority is offering applicants the opportunity to request multiple 30-day extensions at once when renewing their original 90 day Temporary Operating (ST) permit. The nonrefundable fee required under Section 97-a of the Alcoholic Beverage Control Law will be multiplied by the number of extensions requested by the applicant and the extension periods will be bundled by the Authority.

NYC's Department of Small Business Services (SBS) and Next Street announced the launch of a new platform connecting small businesses with trusted resources they need to open, grow, and maintain their business. The user-friendly platform – NYC Funds Finder is where small businesses can review funding options, including loans and grants, and request free 1-on-1 financing assistance from the SBS team.

NYC Funds Finder is a partnership between SBS and Next Street and the Mastercard Center for Inclusive Growth. Next Street Scale, the platform that powers NYC Funds Finder, was created to address the hurdles that small businesses, especially those run by women and minorities, face in accessing the resources required to grow their business and build wealth.
