This act would provide all New Yorkers who qualify with access to professional, occupational, commercial, or business licenses, regardless of their immigration status.

AUTOBODY NEWS: NEW YORK STATE SENATE PASSES BILL TO CURB SIDEWALKP PARKING NEAR AUTO REPAIR SHOPS

In the neighborhoods I represent, and across New York City, some auto shop businesses occupy sidewalks and residential parking with cars under repair,” Rivera told Autobody News. “This results in out-of-maintenance cars blocking traffic and preventing residents from getting to and from their homes. Restricting public sidewalks, traffic flow and parking from the community for commercial purposes is unfair.”

State Senator Gustavo Rivera was interviewed by the magazine Autobody News about his bill that would require New York City automotive repair shops to obtain community approval while registering with the Department of Motor Vehicles. Read the full article here.
