Every year parks, libraries and culturals in NYC rally their troops to secure funding, stave off budget cuts, or get budgets restored. New Yorkers for Parks plays that vital role for our parks system. Our Play Fair Coalition numbers more than 400 members – from small community groups, to neighborhood associations to parks conservancies – all championing our parks system with a singular goal: Equitable access to high-quality parks and open spaces for all New Yorkers, in every neighborhood. Together, we are now fighting to get the parks budget and critical staffing restored. And we’re making progress:

25k New Yorkers (and counting!) signed Play Fair petitions and letters A supermajority of council members lead by Speaker Adrienne Adams have publicly committed to fight to restore parks funding and staffing Community boards across the city have sent letters to the mayor demanding a fully funded parks system Leading mayoral candidates are championing parks and Play Fair asks on the campaign trail and at our Mayoral Forum on Parks
