Excavation is progressing at 3850 Review Place, the site of a six-story school building in Kingsbridge, The Bronx. Designed by DI Group Architecture and developed by the NYC School Construction Authority, the 74-foot-tall structure will span just under 101,000 square feet. The property is located at the corner of John M. Collins Place and West 239th Street.

Wooden fencing surrounds the perimeter of the property, which has been lightly excavated and sections of the ground braced with wooden and steel reinforcements. To the east is a residential development underway at 160 Van Cortlandt Park South.

The rendering in the main photo looks northeast at the building, showing a straightforward rectangular massing and a lower extension to the northern end of the lot. The façade will be composed of a mix of various materials, beginning with black stone at the base, followed by red woodgrain paneling. The majority of the exterior will be clad in white masonry with black and charcoal accents around the grid of windows. A white metal framework will sit atop the roof, presumably for a screened-in playground.

The following Google Street View image shows the lot from the same perspective before it was cleared.

The nearest subway from the development is the 1 train at the elevated 238th Street station to the west.

3850 Review Place’s anticipated completion date is slated for September 2028, as noted on site.
