There was live music as provided by Trio Los Platinos with a special guest musician State Senator Ruben Diaz Sr. (as you can see in the photo below), short speeches, good food, and lots of Puerto Rican heritage at the annual "Puerto Rican Heritage Month" celebration Thursday night. There was more than one Bronx Borough President as Former Bronx BP Freddy Ferrer was one of the honorees this year. The keynote speaker was documentary filmmaker Ms. Noemi Figueroa Soulet, as she started her speech you could hardly she her behind the podium. Someone helped out by getting a milk box for Ms. Soulet to stand on and be seen by everyone in the room.
