WorldPride Opening Ceremony concert to benefit SAGE    For the first time ever, WorldPride will be held in the United States this year. WorldPride's official Opening Ceremony in New York City will take place on Wednesday, June 26. SAGE will be one of just threenonprofit beneficiaries of ticket sales for the WorldPride benefit concert. This star-studded event, which will kick off at Barclays Center in Brooklyn at 7 p.m., will include performances from Whoopi Goldberg, Cyndi Lauper, Chaka Khan, Ciara, and Billy Porter. Help us preserve the stories of LGBTQ elders To capture the stories of those who were at the Stonewall Inn on that revolutionary night 50 years ago, SAGE is partnering with StoryCorps to inspire Americans to interview LGBT elders in an effort to document their stories and preserve our community's history. Stonewall OutLoud is an effort to encourage people across America to use the StoryCorps App to record LGBT people's personal stories, particularly focused on capturing those who were born before the 1969 Stonewall Riots. Launching the Long-Term Care Equality Index SAGE announced a historic partnership with the Human Rights Campaign (HRC) Foundation to fundamentally improve the experiences of LGBTQ older people as they seek long-term care and services. The Long-Term Care Equality Index (LEI) will be the first-ever nationwide assessment of how long-term care facilities are treating their LGBTQ residents. Organizations are encouraged to sign the Commitment to Care Pledge that displays your commitment to creating an inclusive, welcoming and culturally competent environment to LGBT older adults. LGBT elder housing is here! As we commemorate the 50th anniversary of the Stonewall uprising, SAGE is ensuring that LGBT older people have access to the housing they need and deserve. Applications for New York City's very first LGBT-friendly elder housing, Ingersoll Senior Residences, will open on Wednesday, May 29, at 11 a.m. ET. Applications will process on a first come, first served basis.
