After a fifteen-month suspension of Charter-mandated oversight of contracting, Mayor de Blasio’s rescinding of EEO 101 confirmed what we’ve known and advocated for months; checks and balances protect New Yorkers from waste, fraud and abuse. That’s why we filed a lawsuit against Mayor de Blasio and the City— to restore transparency and guard against unscrupulous spending with unvetted vendors. New Yorkers deserve to know that their hard-earned taxpayer dollars are actually delivering for our communities and I am glad that, following our lawsuit, Mayor de Blasio agrees.”
