Dear Neighbor,
Just last weekend, the Throggs Neck Business Improvement District began to install the holiday lights ahead of the busy season. The moment I saw this, I knew we were nearing my favorite time of year! But before we get into the winter holidays, we still have several weeks of fall, including Thanksgiving.
To ensure our local families have access to turkeys for Thanksgiving, my office has partnered with several organizations to host two Thanksgiving Turkey Giveaways in the district. Due to limited quantities, turkeys are limited to one (1) turkey per family (you must pre-register). Individuals who RSVP for a turkey must be present to pick it up. The unfortunate reality is that too many families in our community constantly face food insecurity, and it breaks my heart every time a family calls to ask where the nearest food pantry is located.
As the holidays quickly approach, I ask you all to greet each other with kindness. Many of the struggles our neighbors face are often not seen in plain sight. If you or someone you know is in need this holiday season, please refer them to my office and one of my Constituent Services Liaisons will be more than happy to help.

Thanksgiving Turkey Giveaway
The holidays are quickly approaching and in an effort to ensure no family goes hungry this holiday season, I have partnered with Carpenters Contractor Alliance of Metropolitan New York, Lyft, Doordash, and GrubHub for this year’s Thanksgiving Turkey Giveaways. This year’s events will be held at:
Bronx House, Monday, November 21, 2022 from 4 PM to 6 PM
