Permits have been filed to convert a two-story factory into a non-profit institution with sleeping accommodations at 3240 Grace Avenue in Baychester, The Bronx. Located between East 222nd Street and Burke Avenue, the lot is near the Baychester Avenue subway station, serviced by the 5 train. Mark Glassman is listed as the owner behind the applications.
The proposed 24-foot-tall development will yield 39,218 square feet designated for community facility space, as well as 17 residences. The concrete-based structure will also have a basement and a 45-foot-long front yard.
Mayerfeld Architecture is listed as the architect of record.
Demolition permits will likely not be needed as the permits call for a conversion. An estimated completion date has not been announced.
