Trump is hosting a rally in the Bronx tonight.
This is an attempt to trick some of our folks here. But I think The Bronx knows better. What we see here is that, former President Trump has been in court, he is mounting legal fees and so a lot of this is about covering the increasingly precarious financial situation he’s in.
This rally is essentially a go-fund-me for legal fees that we’ve got happening here in the city and it’s important that we stay focused on the issues that are most important to us. That is health care, that is education, that is our infrastructure investment.
We just saw that Trump met with former oil executives last week saying, ‘hey you give me a billion dollars and I’ll make sure you get the policies that are favorable to raising gas prices and making sure that a lot of these companies continue to price gouge without proper oversight or regulation.
To combat Trump, Democrats must be precise about what our plan for next year is.
I am a major advocate of lowering the age of Medicare so that more people can have access to healthcare. I believe in making sure that we continue to lower the cost of everything from public colleges and universities to also going after Wall Street executives that are choosing to raise prices, not because of increased input costs, but because of increased profit motive.
I fight for universal health care because we matter. I fight for affordable housing because we matter. Our lives matter. We deserve to be at the center of the table on policy-making.
I will never walk away from our people, I will never walk away from this country.
EDITOR'S NOTE:
What a hypocrite Congresswoman Ocassio-Cortez is saying she will never walk away from our people, yet she will not debate her Democratic opponent. I could understand her not wanting to debate her Republican opponent which she beat last election, but when candidate Ocassio-Cortez was the challenger she did everything she could to debate then Congressman Joe Crowley. This reporter helped her as he moderated the June 18, 2018 Parkchester Times 14th Congressional Democratic debate that helped change the course of the 2018 14th Congressional race.
Here is the congresswoman's solicitation for donations the link has been disabled.
Will you make a $5 contribution to our campaign today to show Republicans that our movement is stronger than Trump’s hatred and corruption?
Debate your Democratic opponent AOC.
