JULY 11 LEGISLATIVE BREAKFAST HIGHLIGHTS

The 2024 Bronx Chamber of Commerce Chairman’s Circle Legislative Breakfast at the Bronx Zoo, emcee'd by Board member John Calvelli, was a resounding success, bringing together Bronx Chamber Chairman’s Circle & Corporate Supporter Members and our Board of Directors in an intimate setting with direct access to elected officials representing the Bronx at the city and state levels.   The Chamber was thrilled to feature John “Janno” Lieber, President of the MTA, as the breakfast’s Keynote Speaker, who shared the progress of the Bronx Metro-North Station Area Plan process and recent approvals, along with a number of opportunities and challenges pertaining to public transit and other commuter interests in our borough. A number of elected officials & their teams attended and participated in our event and panel discussion, sharing their insights on issues affecting our business community and residents including public safety, infrastructure, new housing, and more. Special thanks to the offices of Bronx Borough President Vanessa Gibson, City Council Majority Leader Amanda Farias, Assemblymember Landon Dais, City Council Member Oswald Feliz, Senator Robert Jackson, Assemblymember Kenny Burgos, City Council member Eric Dinowitz, Senator Luis Sepulveda, Assemblymember George Alvarez, & Assemblymember Carl Heastie for participating.
