A WHO’S WHO OF DOMINICAN LEADERS JOIN RAJKUMAR FOR ONE OF THE BIGGEST DOMINICAN EVENTS IN DISTRICT HISTORY
On Friday, February 28 at 6:00pm, Assemblywoman Jenifer Rajkumar will host New Yorkers from across the City for one of the biggest Dominican Independence Day events in the history of her district. The celebration will emanate from the renowned Dominican-managed event space Benrooftop, located at 78-16 Atlantic Avenue in Ozone Park.
A who’s who of Dominican leaders will be in attendance, including Rajkumar’s Assembly colleagues Yudelka Tapia and George Alvarez; Dominican Consul General Jesus Antonio Vasquez Martinez; National Supermarket Association Executive Director Seny Taveras; New York State Latino Restaurant, Bar & Lounge Association President Sandra Jaquez; Mamita’s Ices proprietors Grecia, Juana, Nieve, and Maria Morel; and Inca Kola distributor Elizabeth Chalas Berman.
Guests will enjoy authentic Dominican dance, live music, and food.
The event continues Assemblywoman Rajkumar’s commitment to uplift emerging communities that never had a voice in government. In 2022, she hosted the first Dominican Independence Day party in her district’s history, establishing a cherished annual tradition that grows bigger every year.
