The 2026 National GrowTogether Conference is this week! Join us for an inspiring two-day gathering of community gardeners and leaders nationwide, beginning on Friday, May 1st with urban gardening-related guided tours and continues onSaturday, May 2nd at CUNY Graduate Center with workshops, panels, networking, and much more. All activities are free and open to the public!

Friday, May 1st

Discover, explore, and learn from community gardeners and our partners about interesting urban green spaces across New York City!

Register here for a May 1st guided tour by Tuesday, April 28th, 11:00 p.m. 

The National GrowTogether Conference Guided Tours are part of Jane's Walk NYC 2026, an annual festival of free, community-led walking conversations inspired by urbanist, author, and activist Jane Jacobs. Jane's Walk NYC, organized by the Municipal Art Society of New York, is the largest chapter of the festival anywhere in the world.

Saturday, May 2nd

Start the day at the Opening Ceremony from 9:15 a.m.-10:15 a.m. to hear a keynote address by Kate Brown and announcement of this year's winning GreenThumb T-shirt design by Charlotte Fleming.

Stay to take part in over 30 workshops, 4 panels, film screenings, and pop-up learning sessions on themes of Climate Resilience and Urban Ecology; Community, Leadership and Partnerships; Composting, Soil and Sustainable Practices; Education, Arts and Youth Engagement for Educators, and more.
