Mayor Zohran Kwame Mamdani today announced 100,000 free tickets for New Yorkers to watch the Macy’s Fourth of July Fireworks from prime viewing areas at Brooklyn Bridge Park in Brooklyn and the Seaport in Manhattan.

The public lottery at july4.events.nyc is open now and will remain open through June 29 at 11:59 p.m. Winners will be notified between June 30 and July 2 and may claim up to four tickets.

In addition to the ticketed viewing areas at Brooklyn Bridge Park and the Seaport, non-ticketed public viewing areas will be available along the FDR Drive in Manhattan. More information about those viewing locations will be released at july4.events.nyc soon.

On the Fourth of July, Americans come together to look at where we’ve come as a nation, and where we want to go together in the future. Hundreds of thousands of New Yorkers will gather along our waterfront to celebrate, and we’re making sure that some of the best views are available for free,” said Mayor Mamdani. “From Brooklyn Bridge Park to the Seaport to the FDR, we’re opening our public spaces so New Yorkers can come together and enjoy this night together.”

Selected lottery winners will receive an email with instructions to claim their tickets and choose a preferred viewing area. Winners may claim up to four tickets. Children younger than 2 do not require a ticket.

Additional information, including entry points for non-ticketed viewing areas, ADA-accessible viewing areas and prohibited items will be available at july4.events.nyc.

“Events like the Fourth of July Fireworks remind us that our parks and open spaces are more than places to relax — they are where New Yorkers come together to celebrate, connect and create lasting memories, said NYC Parks Commissioner Tricia Shimamura. “These shared public spaces have an important purpose, by bringing people from every neighborhood together for moments that strengthen our sense of community. Opening our parks and waterfronts for celebrations like this ensures they remain vibrant, welcoming, and accessible to everyone.”
