I have introduced the Ghostbuster Act in Albany to provide New York City the full powers we need to eradicate ghost cars. Mayor Adams has asked the state legislature for help, and it is always my mission to fight and deliver for the City I love. My common sense bill authorizes the booting and towing of cars with phony paper plates, allows enforcement against ghost cars using VIN numbers, and prohibits websites like Facebook from allowing sales of paper plates. Together, we are going to exorcise the ghost plates haunting New York City.
This is part of my larger push to improve quality of life in New York City. I have introduced Priscilla’s Law in Albany to crack down on dangerous and reckless e-bikes by requiring them to have DMV-issued license plates, insurance, and inspection. The movement for Priscilla’s Law has gained widespread support across all 5 boroughs as New Yorkers call for common sense e-bike regulation. This follows on the heels of our successful SMOKEOUT movement to improve quality of life by closing down illegal smoke shops.
