Bike New York announces registration has opened for the 47th TD Five Boro Bike Tour which will be on May 4, 2025.
Bike New York announced today that general registration for the 2025 TD Five Boro Bike Tour – the world’s largest charitable bike ride – is opening Thursday, December 12 at noon (EST).
Since 1977, the iconic TD Five Boro Bike Tour has brought together cyclists from all walks of life and skill levels for an opportunity to experience New York completely free of cars annually. This year, Bike New York is offering an Early Bird pricing of $140 plus processing fees beginning December 12th and ending at 11:59 PM (EST) on January 2. Riders will receive the standard pricing of $148 when they register after January 2. The registration fee is a tax-deductible charitable donation to Bike New York which helps fund free bike education, advocacy, and community outreach programming.
“The TD Five Boro Bike Tour is not just a ride – it’s a celebration of New York City, its diverse and vibrant communities, and the transformative power of cycling,” said Ken Podziba, CEO of Bike New York. “We look forward to welcoming cyclists from all over the world as they come together to experience the thrill of riding car-free in the greatest city in the world while supporting our mission to provide safer streets and free bike education to underserved communities. This year’s Tour will unite 32,000 riders as we celebrate New York’s 400th anniversary in our shared passion for cycling and the incredible spirit of the city.”
The TD Five Boro Bike Tour is the primary fundraising event for Bike New York, a 501(c)(3) nonprofit committed to empowering New Yorkers to transform their lives and their communities through cycling. Proceeds from the event directly help to fund free public bike education and access programs for more than 30,000 adults and kids throughout the five boroughs, bike advocacy initiatives, workforce development programs, and more. Bike New York co-produces this iconic New York tradition with the New York City Department of Transportation.
