Sharing directly from Citi Bike for everyone’s knowledge: Beginning in the fall of 2025, Citi Bike service will expand further into Bronx, Brooklyn, and Queens. Since the program launched in 2013, New Yorkers and visitors from around the world have taken over 250 million Citi Bike rides, demonstrating that bike share is an efficient, healthy, and affordable mode of transportation. The 2025 expansion will add over 250 new stations and bring 2,900 new bikes into service, making Citi Bike available to more than 900,000 additional New Yorkers.
In advance of installing new stations, DOT will be conducting extensive outreach and planning. Outreach will include in-person and online education and feedback collection and meetings with community stakeholders. We want to highlight that we have a feedback map open which allows users to place pins at locations they would like to see new Citi Bike stations, as well as areas not suitable for a Citi Bike station. Here is the link to the feedback portal web page that you can share with your community members via email, newsletter, or social media: https://nycdotprojects.info/project-updates/feedback-map-open-1. The portal will be open until mid-April.
