Plants across the garden are unfurling their leaves and opening to greet the sun during this transformative time of year. Take a page out of their book and enjoy the spring weather, from family fun activities to walks along curious paths with your loved ones. Here at Wave Hill, there’s a space for everyone to become inspired and admire all the ways we help each other flourish.
Nature:
Join a knowledgeable Wave Hill Garden Guide for a leisurely stroll in the gardens. Discuss topics of the upcoming season with the expertise of the Guide--come back for an encore; each walk varies with the Guide leading it. This walk lasts a half-hour to 45 minutes. Public Garden Walks are most appropriate for adults or young adults.

Family Art Project: Sounds of Nature
Let’s make music! A breeze through the trees, the hoot of an owl, rain falling on a pond, the natural world is full of beautiful sounds. We’ll make and decorate our very own instruments that mimic the tunes and tones in nature. At 11:30am families can enjoy a storytime program in the Gund Theater, all ages welcome.
Special Events:
Afternoon Tea
Every Tuesday and Thursday at 11:00AM or 1:30PM, enjoy delicious tea sandwiches and delectable pastries with a specialty tea selection served on our Kate French Terrace, weather permitting, or in our quaint Tea Room at the historic Wave Hill House. Provided by our exclusive partner Great Performances, the menu uses local and seasonal ingredients, inspired from their own organic farm, Katchkie Farm. Due to the nature of the event, no substitutions or changes are available.
