Housing Lottery Launches for El Hogar at 2444 Tiebout Avenue in Fordham, The Bronx

 

The affordable housing lottery has launched for El Hogar, a ten-story mixed-use building at 2444 Tiebout Avenue in Fordham, The Bronx. Designed by Monica Lopez Architect and developed by Comunilife, Inc., the structure yields 83 residences. Available on NYC Housing Connect are 32 units for residents with at least one household member who is 62 years of age or older at the time of the application and with incomes ranging from $0 to $58,320.

Amenities include an on-site resident manager, elevator, shared laundry room, bike storage lockers, common area Wi-Fi, gym, and community center. Residences are equipped with energy-efficient appliances, high-speed internet, intercoms, and air conditioning.

At 40 percent of the AMI, there are 27 studios with a monthly rent equivalent to 30 percent of their income for incomes ranging from $0 to $51,840, and five one-bedrooms with a monthly rent equivalent to 30 percent of their income for incomes ranging from $0 to $58,320.

Prospective renters must meet income and household size requirements to apply for these apartments. Applications must be postmarked or submitted online no later than December 29, 2025.
