BRONX MAN INDICTED FOR ALLEGEDLY ASSAULTING HIS EX-GIRLFRIEND AND TWO GOOD SAMARITANS WHO INTERVENED IN THE ATTACK

 

Defendant Allegedly Slashed the Good Samaritans

Bronx District Attorney Darcel D. Clark announced that a Bronx man has been indicted on multiple charges of Assault for allegedly attacking his ex-girlfriend and then slashing two men who came to the woman’s aid. 

District Attorney Clark said, “This defendant allegedly assaulted his ex-girlfriend on two separate occasions. During the second assault, two young men saw what was happening, attempted to intervene and were allegedly slashed by the defendant. He is now facing justice for a disturbing pattern of violence." 

District Attorney Clark said that defendant Jon Arce, AKA Jon Goon, AKA Jon Jon, 28, the Bronx, was arraigned August 24, 2026 on first-degree Assault, Attempted Assault in the firstdegree, second-degree Aggravated Harassment, fourth-degree Criminal Possession of a Weapon, fourth-degree Criminal Mischief and other related charges by Bronx Supreme Court Justice Audrey Stone. Bail was set at $115,000 cash/$295,000 secured bond/$295,000 partially secured bond. Arce is due back in court on October 28, 2026.

According to the investigation, on April 11, 2026, at approximately 6:00 p.m., the defendant and his ex-girlfriend engaged in a verbal dispute that turned physical, causing injuries that required her to receive treatment at a local hospital. 

 Then on June 23, 2026, at approximately 10:00 p.m., Arce approached his ex-girlfriend on Webster Avenue. He punched the victim, threw her to the sidewalk, and kicked her in the head. When two bystanders intervened, Arce allegedly used a sharp object to slash both men.

District Attorney Clark thanked NYPD Officers Pamela Sosa, Jay Weng, Theodore Cecchini, and David Pena, from the 46th Precinct, and NYPD Officer Kimberly Rose, from the 48th Precinct, for their work in the investigation.

An indictment is an accusation. A defendant is presumed innocent unless and until proven guilty in a court of law.
