Register for our next Virtual Volunteer Orientation 

Interested in volunteering with GrowNYC? Join our online orientation where our Volunteer Program Manager will provide information about GrowNYC, local agriculture and food access, as well as current and upcoming volunteer opportunities.

When: Friday, September 11th

Time: 3pm - 4pm

Where: Virtual

Orientation is open to all, however, GrowNYC volunteers must be 18 years of age or older. The volunteer orientation is required to participate in our volunteer opportunities.

Greenmarket Volunteer Opportunities

Volunteer with GrowNYC Greenmarkets to help support local farmers by creating a welcoming environment and ensuring they have opportunities to sell fresh produce.

• This is also a great way to do your part in helping ensure that all NYC residents have access to fresh and local produce!

• These events are outdoors, rain or shine. Please dress for the weather and bring a reusable water bottle!

In Season: Celebrating 50 Years of Greenmarket

This year's gala is extra special as we celebrate 50 years of Greenmarket! That is 50 years of farmers and New Yorkers coming together, bringing fresh produce to neighborhoods across the city, and building a stronger, healthier food system block by block.

As we gear up for the celebration, we would love to have our volunteers involved.

We are looking for 5–10 volunteers to help bring the evening to life. Volunteers will assist with setup and breakdown, staffing check-in, and running activations and activities throughout the event.

And speaking of the gala, as a little thank-you for everything you do for GrowNYC, we want to treat you to discounted volunteer tickets for $250. It's our way of saying we couldn't do this work without you, and we'd love nothing more than to celebrate together. Purchase tickets here.
