FRIDAY 09/18: Join Senator Rivera and the Hands Off NYC Coalition at Their 'Know Your Rights' Community Day of Action in His District!

Dear Neighbor, 

Happy Third Day of School! In addition to the many backpack and school supply giveaways that we held last month, my office is also conducting Know Your Rights outreach to ensure our educators, school administrators and staff, as well as our families and students, are informed about their constitutional rights regardless of their immigration status. 

Join me on Friday, September 18th during the Hands Off NYC Community Weekend when my team and I are hosting a Day of Action at the Bronx Library Center.

We will conduct short, easy-to-follow training sessions to teach you how to talk to your community about their rights, distribute materials to schools, and inform our neighbors of the resources available to them.

DID YOU KNOW...?

My office has created incredibly informative materials so that our community, our families, and our businesses are informed and protected from increasingly aggressive immigration enforcement. These include:  

1.   “Know Your Rights” palm card available in English, Spanish, French, Bangla, and Arabic. 
2.   Family planning and immigration brochures available in English and Spanish
3.   Private signage to designate staff- or student-only areas. 
4.   Infographic with details on all the new state laws we passed in Albany this Spring to expand protections for New Yorkers available in English and Spanish
