Candidate for governor Bruce Blakeman came to the Bronx Thursday morning to pick up an endorsement from former Democratic Bronx elected official Stephen Kaufman. Kaufman greeted Blakeman as he departed from his ride, and held a well attended press conference in front of the Crosstown Diner in Throggs Neck where candidate Bruce Blakeman said that the owner of the diner has to sell one thousand burgers just to pay his energy bill. He then blamed Kathy Hochul on the high energy bill.
With Blakeman were 14th Congressional candidate Diamont Hysenaj, 82nd Assembly District candidate Irene Guanill, Vice-Chair of the Bronx Republican Party, and dozens of Blakeman for Governor supporters. After the endorsement of Bruce Blakeman for Governor by Bronx Democrat Stephen Kaufman both went inside to greet staff and customers while sitting down for a few minutes to talk before Blakeman left for his next campaign stop.
Bruce Blakeman called out incumbent Governor Kathy Hochul on several items that need to be changed, from high energy costs to high taxes.
