State Senator Nathalia Fernandez New Throggs Neck Office Opening

 

New 34th District East Side State Senator Nathalia Fernandez had to spend her first five months in office in Riverdale until the lease on the previous state senators office ran out. Redistricting had changed the 34th State Senate District from an East Side/West Side district to a East side district with the addition of Parkchester, Castle Hill, and parts of New Rochelle. 

Senator Fernandez found an office at 3853 East Tremont Avenue, and had it set up for a State Senate office with the official grand opening for Saturday July 22nd with a health fair next to the office. Elected officials on hand for the grand opening included Bronx Borough President Vanessa L. Gibson, Bronx District Attorney Darcel Clark, Councilwoman Marjorie Velazquez, State Senator Jamaal Bailey, and Assembly members Michael Benedetto and John Zaccaro Jr along with hundreds of people including former councilman Mark Gjonaj.
