Donald Trump just announced Ohio Senator J.D. Vance as his choice for Vice President.
Vance is the first millennial nominated to a major-party ticket. He once was critical of Trump, but has become a fierce 2020 election results denier, spread dangerous anti-trans misinformation1, and has flipflopped his stance on abortion in order to gain favor with Trump.2
Cynics say that we must resign ourselves to a Trump-Vance White House. Cynics have given up.
This is about more than a single campaign or a moment in time. It’s about who we are as people: working people who want a brighter future for all.
