NYC Green Fund Grassroots Grant Program Is Open
Looking for funding to activate a local park or open space? We’re thrilled to announce another round of the NYC Green Fund Grassroots grant program is now open!
Over the last year, the Grassroots grant program has awarded over $817,000 to community groups dedicated to local parks across our city. These grants have focused on supporting Environmental Justice areas, majority BIPOC-led groups, and groups with budgets under $50,000, targeting communities that are most vulnerable to environmental injustices. The goal of the NYC Green Fund is to work towards a city where all people can live, work, and play in communities that are safe, healthy, and free of harmful environmental conditions.

Looking for funding to support your local park, community garden, green street, or street trees? Apply to the NYC Green Fund Crowdfunding Challenge, which provides up to $3,000 in matching funds to approved community projects that are hosted through an ioby crowdfunding campaign. Join us for an informative, virtual Q&A and presentation on the NYC Green Fund Crowdfunding Challenge. Campaigns must finish and cash-out by November 30, 2024 so apply now!

NYC Green Fund Pathways Grant Awardees Announced
In other NYC Green Fund news, City Parks Foundation recently awarded $500,000 in grant funding to 10 recipients through the 2024 NYC Green Fund Pathways Grants program, which supports systemic changes that will lead to a more equitable and resilient park and open space system, more and alternative funding sources, and improved operations between the city and its nonprofit and volunteer partners.
This year’s Pathways grantees include nonprofit collaborations and partnerships, new and exciting programming, and innovative policy research and advocacy. Read more about the grantees at the link below. |
