On September 27th, embark on a magical ferry ride to NYC’s climate action hub and be part of Solutions that Inspire: Climate Education for Sustainable Cities, hosted by GrowNYC, The Trust for Governors Island, UNESCO, and the NY Climate Exchange.
When: Friday, September 27
Time: 1:00 pm - 5:00 pm
Location: Building 309, Governors Island, New York City
Free to attend! No tickets or RSVP required.
Engage in a dynamic discussion where our expert panelists— from the Basque Country to Hawaii, Sierra Leone to NYC —will explore strategies for tackling climate change on both global and local levels.
The event will culminate with light refreshments at GrowNYC’s one-acre urban farm on the island, offering you the perfect setting to network and reflect on the day’s insights.
Getting there
Ferry from Manhattan: Ferries operated by the Trust for Governors Island leave every 30 minutes from the Battery Maritime Building at 10 South Street in Lower Manhattan. We recommend taking the ferry that departs either at 12pm or 12:30pm. Please purchase ferry tickets online in advance at govisland.org/ferry.
