Father's Day Event! June 14th, 2025

The gray skies are giving us a reminder of last weekend’s weather—but if there’s one thing we’ve learned, it’s that a little rain can’t keep District 13 down!

Rain or shine, our community shows up—and that was especially true last Saturday at our Father’s Day celebration at Turtle Cove. Families gathered to honor and celebrate the incredible dads of D13, and despite the drizzle, the love and appreciation for our fathers shone through brighter than ever.

Here’s a look back at a heartfelt event filled with laughter, family fun, and community pride. Thank you to everyone who came out and helped make it special!

Summer Concert! June 18th, 2025

What an incredible kickoff to our summer concert series at Loreto Playground this past Wednesday night!

From delicious snacks and great company to live music that had everyone dancing, it was truly a night to remember. The energy was electric, and the community spirit was stronger than ever!

A heartfelt thank you to everyone who came out to celebrate with us and helped make the evening such a success. Your support, smiles, and dance moves made it all the more special.

We’re just getting started, and we can’t wait to see you at the next one. Bring your friends, your family, and your best moves — the summer fun is only heating up!

Mott Hall Community School Graduation Ceremony

What a beautiful morning it was on —and made even more special by a truly heartwarming graduation ceremony for the newest graduates of Mott Hall Community School!

Surrounded by proud families, supportive teachers, and joyful classmates, our grads celebrated the end of one chapter and the exciting beginning of the next.

Congratulations to our amazing graduates and their families—we’re so proud of everything you’ve achieved and can’t wait to see where your journeys take you next!

On Sunday, we proudly partnered with Throggs Neck Bid, NYPD 45th Precinct, and our incredible community sponsors for a free food giveaway—featuring delicious hot meals, fun carnival snacks, and even toys for our amazing constituents!

There wasn’t a special occasion—just a heartfelt effort to give back to the community that gives us so much.

Thank you to everyone who helped make it happen and to all who stopped by. It’s always a good day to spread kindness!
