The Van Cortlandt Jewish Center is pleased to announce a new four-part series of classes designed to help participants manage everyday stress and promote holistic well-being through guided meditative practices.
Titled "Stress Management & Guided Meditative Relaxation," the hour-long sessions will teach simple, effective techniques for reducing stress, addressing insomnia, and enhancing mental clarity. Open to teens, adults, and seniors, the classes require no prior experience and are suitable for anyone looking to improve their mind-body health. These are interactive classes.
Led by Professor Barbara Kay, a seasoned educator with over 36 years of experience teaching Human Potential across the U.S. and Canada, the program blends:
• Guided Imagery
• Gentle Yoga
• Breathing Techniques
• Silva Mind Control
• Deep Relaxation
Participants are encouraged to bring a yoga mat for floor-based stretches, though all exercises can also be done in a chair. Mats will be available on a limited basis, and attendees are welcome to bring extra mats to lend.
