Walkthrough with NYCDOT and Engine 97 June 24th, 2025

The heat last Tuesday did not stop us and it will not stop our team!

The heat last Tuesday didn’t stop us — and it won’t stop our team! ๐Ÿ’ช Despite the 100-degree weather, Councilwoman Marmorato and her Chief hit the ground running, joining NYC DOT staff, Commissioner Perez, and Lt. DeJesus from Engine 97 for a thorough walk-through in the district. Together, we addressed long-standing concerns head-on, ensuring our community’s needs are seen, heard, and acted on.

Extreme temperatures won’t slow us down — our commitment to improving safety, accessibility, and quality of life in the district continues, no matter the weather.

We’re out here, and we’re just getting started!

Hot Meals through D13!

Hot Meals with Throggs Neck Houses and NYCHA June 25th, 2025

Even in the middle of this intense heat wave, our team is out in the community — last Wednesday at Throggs Neck Houses — making sure our residents are cared for and supported with hot meals and essential resources.

We know how tough these extreme temperatures can be, especially for our NYCHA neighbors, and that’s exactly why we’re showing up.

The heat won’t stop us from checking in, lending a hand, and standing side by side with the people we serve. Please remember to stay cool, stay hydrated, and stay safe — and know that our team is always here, working for you and with you.

Hot Meals with more of D13! June 26th, 2025

We’re proud to keep delivering hot meals to neighbors across

District 13! ๐Ÿฝ️

Today’s meal distribution stops included:

✅ Northeast Bronx Senior Center

✅ Bruckner Boulevard

From a warm plate to a simple act of kindness, every gesture

matters when it comes to caring for our community. We're

grateful to be part of a district that truly looks out for one

another — especially in challenging times.

Together, we’re making a difference, one meal at a time!

Family Day with NYPD 45th Precinct June 26th, 2025

We’re always proud to support and sponsor community

events with the NYPD’s 45th Precinct!

Last Thursday’s Family Day at Orchard Beach was a

fantastic evening — filled with fun activities, cool ocean

breezes, and plenty of snacks for all ages. It was a great

chance for families to unwind and for officers and

community members to connect in a relaxed, positive setting.

Moments like these are what District 13 is all about bringing

people together, building trust, and creating lasting bonds

between our neighbors and those who serve and protect them.

Here’s to more events that strengthen our community spirit

and keep our district united!

Yemeni American Day Parade June 28th, 2025

It’s always a joy to spend time with our incredible Yemeni

community, and this past Saturday was no exception as we

came together to celebrate the 7th Annual Yemeni American

Day Parade!

The energy, culture, and unity on display were truly inspiring.

Thank you all for your continued support and for always

making District 13 feel so welcomed and appreciated.

Movie Night! June 29th, 2025

๐Ÿฟ๐ŸŽฌ Our Movie Night Under the Stars was an incredible
success a beautiful evening filled with fun, entertainment,
and a strong sense of community.

From handing out fresh fruits and vegetables to serving up

popcorn and hotdogs, we were proud to offer more than

just a movie — we created a space where neighbors could

come together, connect, and enjoy a memorable night under

the sky.

Thank you to everyone who joined us and helped make it so

special. Events like this remind us what true community

looks like — supportive, joyful, and united.
