Eaglefest is back at Wave Hill! Although the Hudson is frozen, winter birds are just warming up for their migration. Enjoy the brisk air while you spot these one-of-a-kind birds. Spend time with your loved ones as you craft to your heart’s content, share creative visions, and create special memories to bring home with you.

Hudson River EagleFest Eagle Spotting Station

Winter migration is upon us! Learn all about the bald eagle and its winter migration as we celebrate Teatown Hudson River EagleFest®, an annual celebration of bald eagle winter migration along the Hudson River. Keep watch with Birding professionals and fellow enthusiasts for bald eagles and other birds of prey soaring over the Hudson River. Pop indoors to our warming station in Armor Hall for a hot cup of cocoa and observe smaller birds at the birdfeeders right outside the windows.   

 

Valentine's Tea

Wave Hill's exclusive caterer Great Performances is delighted to present Valentine's Tea at the historic Wave Hill House. Perfect for a date or an afternoon with friends, this custom menu is designed specifically for Wave Hill, incorporating local, seasonal and organic ingredients.

Yoga returns to the majestic Armor Hall this winter! As you’re surrounded by panoramic views of the Conifer Slope, stunning trees, and the tranquility of the winter garden, feel reconnected, refreshed, and revitalized through gentle yoga practice.

Join a knowledgeable Wave Hill Garden Guide for a leisurely stroll in the gardens. Topics vary by season and the expertise of the Guide; each walk varies with the Guide leading it. 

 

Winter Birding 

Registration encouraged.    

Explore Wave Hill’s tranquil gardens and woodlands with birding guide, Haley Scott, to observe birds in their winter habitat. Birders of all levels encouraged.

This year, the Winter Workspace program consists of two back-to-back, seven-week sessions, in which New York area artists research, develop, and make work informed by the site, ecology and history of Wave Hill. Artists are encouraged to engage with the site’s history, architecture, and visitors while expanding their practices using resources from the garden 
 

Winter Workspace 2026: Drop-In Sunday

The Winter Workspace Drop-In Sunday series provides an opportunity for Wave Hill visitors to deepen their connection with the arts and their experience of the garden by learning how artists are drawing inspiration from our site. Mingle with participating Workspace Artists in their studios, ask questions, and learn about their creative practice!

Kids on the Move! Explore Like an Eagle

Take a short outdoor adventure with guest educator Corinne Flax and use your eagle senses to explore the wintery Wave Hill grounds. Then warm up indoors with a family yoga class for some soaring, floating, flapping, diving, and even squawking!

In the winter, Bald Eagles come to the Hudson River to hunt for fish. To celebrate EagleFestwe’ll make wings of our very own modeled after birds of prey found in the Bronx.
