49th Precinct National Night Out at Loreto Playground

It was a beautiful evening for the 49th Precinct National Night Out event for the community and the local police officers to meet one another. The Sheriffs Department, the Probation Department, the FBI, the 49th Precinct Explorer, and local elected officials were among the community and service organizations that filled the forty tables set up in four rows in Loreto Playground on Morris Park Avenue.

Loreto Playground honors slain New York City Police Officer Alfred Loreto, so it is only fitting that the 49th precinct have its National Night out at Loreto Park. Hundreds of people were on hand to check the gifts for them by the various tablers. There was even a dunk tank where the newest officers got their training not to sit on the seat above the water in the dunk tank.

Giant slides were set up for the children.
