Yesterday was a big day when it came to putting the lights on Christmas Trees in the Bronx. Bronx Borough President Ruben Diaz Jr. lit the Official Bronx Christmas tree outside the Bronx County Building.
In other Christmas Tree lightings State Senator Jeff Klein and Assemblyman (and Councilman Elect) Mark Gjonaj were at the Rudy Macina Peace Memorial Plaza, and then at Loreto Park in Morris Park to light Christmas trees. Assemblyman Gjonaj's night was not over, as he then went to join Assemblyman Jeffrey Dinowitz and Councilman Andrew Cohen on Mosholu Parkway to help light the Community Board 7 Christmas Tree. All events had larger crowds than the past year. Below are some photos of the days events for Assemblyman Gjonaj.
