Local officials joined senior executives from the Cappelli Organization, RXR, and Korman Communities to celebrate the topping out of AVE Hamilton Green at 200 Hamilton Avenue in White Plains. The $650 million project involves the repurposing of the former White Plains Mall into a mixed-use residential development. The topping out ceremony was highlighted by the unfurling of a large American flag from the two-tower project.
Units at AVE Hamilton Green will range from studios to penthouses, including fully furnished units with varying lease terms. Planned amenities will include coworking spaces, a fitness center, a spa, and a golf simulator. It will also include a sizeable commercial component, which will house retail and dining spaces.
The first phase of AVE Hamilton Green is set for completion in 2024, with pre-leasing already underway. The entire project will be completed by 2025, and is part of a wave of development led by the Cappelli Organization and RXR in the region, with additional projects including The Mitchell and the upcoming redevelopment of The Galleria at White Plains.
“The Cappelli Organization is pleased to join with our development partners and our partners from the City of White Plains and Westchester County, as we celebrate the reimagination of this key property in the heart of downtown,” said Louis R. Cappelli, president of the Cappelli Organization. “As the image of the former White Plains Mall quickly fades, our entire team takes great pride in building the new residential towers and with them bringing the promise of new opportunities for hundreds of residents and a new vitality to downtown.”
The development is located near the White Plains Metro-North train station and central business district.
