Statement from a Council Spokesperson on the New York Supreme Court’s Ruling on the CityFHEPS Reform Laws

 

In response to the New York Supreme Court’s ruling on the CityFHEPS Reform Laws, the New York City Council released the following statement from spokesperson Rendy Desamours. 

“We disagree with the court’s ruling and will be pursuing an immediate appeal. It’s unfortunate that Mayor Adams’ administration has fought to delay help to New Yorkers that can prevent them from evictions and homelessness amidst a housing crisis.”
