Affordable Housing Lottery Launches for 222 Echo Place in Tremont, The Bronx


 

The affordable housing lottery has launched for 222 Echo Place, an eight-story residential building in Tremont, Brooklyn. Designed by Issac and Stern Architects and developed by Alex Gilkarov in 2018, the structure yields 44 residences. Available on NYC Housing Connect are 14 units for residents at 130 percent of the area median income (AMI), ranging in eligible income from $73,920 to $218,010.

Amenities include a shared laundry room, elevator, and gated access. Residences include hardwood floors, air conditioning, smart controls for heating and cooling, intercoms, and name-brand kitchen appliances, countertops, and finishes. Tenants are responsible for electricity including stove, heating, and hot water.

At 130 percent of the AMI, there are six studios with a monthly rent of $2,156 for incomes ranging from $73,920 to $161,590; five one-bedrooms with a monthly rent of $2,245 for incomes ranging from $76,972 to $181,740; and three two-bedrooms with a monthly rent of $2,710 for incomes ranging from $92,915 to $218,010.

Prospective renters must meet income and household size requirements to apply for these apartments. Applications must be postmarked or submitted online no later than February 25, 2025.
