Just one more Sunset Wednesday concert left this summer at Wave Hill. On July 31, hip hop artists Missing Element will be joined by The Beatbox House for an incredible close to our summer concert season. Hoping there will be no rain next week; it's just not the same indoors. But can’t complain too much–even on these hot days, we’ve had a nice breeze and can always seem to find a comfortable seat in the shade.
Family Art Project: Brilliance of Seeds and Weeds
What do you know about seeds and weeds? Let’s use plant parts as materials to make paper and learn more about germination and the seed dispersal process. At 11:30AM, families can enjoy a storytime program in the Gund Theater; all ages welcome.
Join a knowledgeable Wave Hill Garden Guide for a leisurely stroll in the gardens. Topics vary by season and the expertise of the Guide--come back for an encore; each walk varies with the Guide leading it. This walk lasts a half-hour to 45 minutes. Public Garden Walks are most appropriate for adults or young adults.
Stories in the Garden
Join Wave Hill and Literacy in Community Educators for storytime in the garden! Stories will come to life through interactive book readings and related activities. For rain or other extreme weather, meet in Gund Theater in Wave Hill House. Ideal for children ages three to six with an adult.
