Permits Filed for 4432 3rd Avenue in Belmont, The Bronx

Permits have been filed to convert a two-story structure into a four-story mixed-use building at 4432 3rd Avenue in Belmont, The Bronx. Located between Hoffman Street and Lorillard Place, the lot is closest to the 182-183 Streets subway station, serviced by the B and D trains. Rom Barokas is listed as the owner behind the applications.

The proposed 41-foot-tall development will yield 5,474 square feet, with 4,354 square feet designated for residential space and 1,120 square feet for commercial space. The building will have seven residences, most likely rentals based on the average unit scope of 662 square feet. The steel-based structure will also have a cellar and a 25-foot-long rear yard.

Wu Woody Chen of Infocus Design and Planning is listed as the architect of record.

Demolition permits will likely not be needed as the project calls for a vertical and horizontal expansion. An estimated completion date has not been announced.
