Tree Stewardship Part 2: Fundamentals of Street Tree Care
Want to get to know our city’s street trees? Looking to get your hands dirty during Climate Week? Join PfP and Trees New York for a hands-on workshop to understand the basics of street tree care. Christina McLaughlin, urban forestry programs manager at Trees New York, will demonstrate cultivation, mulching, and watering. You will then apply these skills yourself. During this workshop, you’ll have the opportunity to connect with like-minded community members and leave equipped with the ability to care for local street trees. We'll be doing a giveaway of trowels, gardening gloves, and seed packets as well!
Saturday, Sept. 27, 2025, from 10 a.m. to 12:00 p.m.
This is the second part of a two part series. The first part will be a webinar on getting involved with tree care featuring staff from NYC Parks Tree Time. Learn more and sign up here.
