Wave Hill Weekly Events (Sep 25 – Oct 2) | Discover Wonder and Whimsy at Wave Hill: Windchimes, Walks, & More!

 

When the chaos of the city has you longing for those quiet moments, ease your way around the gardens of Wave Hill. Join a guided Garden Highlights Walk and find tidbits of magic across the grounds. Tuck yourself away in the conservatory where you’ll find plants of all backgrounds thriving in their own controlled bubbles, or peer over the window of the alpine house to get a glimpse of a tiny world teeming with life. Press pause on life and place yourself in the whimsy of Wave Hill! 

 

 

Nature & Wellness 

 

Yoga in the Garden 

Registration encouraged. 

Root your feet in the grass and look out upon the vistas as you enjoy a gentle yoga class. All levels welcome. 

 

Garden Highlights Walk 

Free with admission to the grounds   
Registration not required.   

Take a leisurely guided walk with a Wave Hill Garden Guide to observe seasonal garden highlights! Each walk varies by the guide leading it. 

 

 

Art 

 

Public Gallery Tour  

Free with admission to the grounds  
Registration not required. 

Visitors can expect an in-depth look at artworks on view in Glyndor Gallery and in the Sunroom Project Space, showcasing the work of both emerging and established artists in the unique context of a public garden between nature, culture and site. Each tour lasts approximately 45 minutes. 

 

 

Family 

 

Family Art Project: Whimsical Windchimes 

Free with admission to the grounds  
Registration not required. 

Join us to learn about the importance of windchimes in gardens and their rich history in different cultures. Use upcycled materials to create your own windchime and listen to its unique music! At 11:30am families can enjoy a storytime program in the Gund Theater, all ages welcome.

Afternoon Tea 

7-day advanced booking required. 

Enjoy delicious tea sandwiches and delectable pastries with a specialty tea selection served on our Kate French Terrace, weather permitting, or in our quaint Tea Room at the historic Wave Hill House, provided by our exclusive partner Great Performances
