Housing Lottery Launches for 2017 Grand Concourse in Tremont, The Bronx

 


The affordable housing lottery has launched for 2017 Grand Concourse, a nine-story residential building in Tremont, The Bronx. Designed by Curtis + Ginsberg and developed by Justin S. Stein under the Home Builders 1 L.P, the structure yields 34 residences. Available on NYC Housing Connect are 25 units for residents at 30 to 95 percent of the area median income (AMI), ranging in eligible income from $21,566 to $159,315.

Amenities include on-site superintendent, elevator, accessible entrance, bicycle storage, fitness room, shared laundry room, and a rooftop terrace. Units come equipped with energy-efficient appliances and intercoms. Tenants are responsible for electricity including stove.

At 30 percent of the AMI, there is one studio with a monthly rent of $544 for incomes ranging from $21,566 to $37,290; one one-bedroom with a monthly rent of $689 for incomes ranging from $26,949 to $41,940; and one two-bedroom with a monthly rent of $815 for incomes ranging from $32,332 to $50,310.

At 50 percent of the AMI, there are four studios with a monthly rent of $1,010 for incomes ranging from $37,543 to $62,150; five one-bedrooms with a monthly rent of $1,271 for incomes ranging from $46,903 to $69,900; and five two-bedrooms with a monthly rent of $1,614 for incomes ranging from $56,298 to $83,850.

At 95 percent of the AMI, there is one studio with a monthly rent of $1,415 for incomes ranging from $51,429 to $118,085; five one-bedrooms with a monthly rent of $1,778 for incomes ranging from $64,286 to $132,810; and two two-bedrooms with a monthly rent of $2,121 for incomes ranging from $77,109 to $159,315.

Prospective renters must meet income and household size requirements to apply for these apartments. Applications must be postmarked or submitted online no later than March 14, 2025.
